Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Cutter
Friday, April 28th, 2034
The Pacifica Shamrocks fell to the Youngstown Tune-Ups in McCormick Field today, even as 22-year-old shortstop Ian Cutter upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Cutter finished with 1 hit in 3 at-bats, but could not stop the Shamrocks from dropping the 7-2 decision.
"Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Cutter. Ian Cutter walked in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th and flied out in the 8th.
In 22 games Cutter is hitting .369 this season with 31 hits, 5 home runs, 25 RBIs, 19 walks, .472 OBP and has scored 23 runs.
