Virella Twirls No-Hitter Against Cornhuskers Wednesday, April 19th, 2034 Excitement reigned at The Corn Crib today as Rock River Rats hurler Colby Virella tossed a baseball rarity -- a no-hitter. After defeating the DeKalb Cornhuskers, 9-0, he was swamped by reporters in the clubhouse for postgame comments. "I'm just glad to be here," Virella said. "Today I just went right at the Cornhuskers as hard as I could, as long as I could." Virella chalked up 7 strikeouts and allowed 5 walks in his superb performance.
