Cornhuskers Jerry Rios Down and Out for Year
Tuesday, October 11th, 2033
Doctors in DeKalb said Jerry Rios might not play anymore this year. The Cornhuskers starting pitcher suffered a damaged elbow ligament during a game against the Spokane Bulldogs and will be out for at least 11 months. Club officials told BNN they do not expect him to return to the team this season.

So far in 19 appearances this season, Rios has recorded 1 win and sustained 1 loss. He has pitched 75.2 innings, yielded 85 hits, fanned 59 and has a 5.35 ERA.
