Beehive Blanked by Kearns Saturday, October 1st, 2033 The Madison Beehive struggled at the plate today against Wolverines hurler Joe Kearns, who shackled them on 4 hits while hurling a complete game 3-0 shutout. "What can you say? We didn't hit well," said Beehive skipper Quinn Patrick in his postgame comments. "Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow." Kearns finished the game with 8 strikeouts and 5 walks in an excellent mound performance. "He pitched real well," Wichita manager Dave Moran said. "Joe made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively."
