Haydon Picked as September's Pitcher of the Month Saturday, October 1st, 2033 There's something about a young rookie winning the Bob Moose League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Charlie Haydon, a 21-year-old starter for the Wichita Wolverines. In September, he topped off the month with a 3-1 mark and 1.41 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 38.1 innings, fanned 40 and held opposing teams to a .224 average. This year Haydon has worked 197.2 innings with 174 strikeouts en route to a 9-9 record and a 3.73 ERA. |
