Bastien Week's Top Player Monday, September 26th, 2033 21-year-old Taylor Bastien made a few Pacifica headlines during this past week as the rookie shortstop proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Cory Lidle League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 13 hits in 24 at-bats to put up a .542 average. Bastien collected 2 home runs, 4 RBIs and scored 6 runs. This year Bastien has batted at a .347 pace with 198 hits, 31 home runs, 97 RBIs and scored 115 times. |
