Rats Martínez Out Rest Of Season
Sunday, September 18th, 2033
Rock River starting pitcher Pablo Martínez could miss the remainder of the season because of radial nerve compression. He exited yesterday's Silicon Valley game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Martínez would be out 6 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

This season Martínez has a 2-2 mark in 0 starts with a 5.16 ERA. He has given up 66 hits in 66.1 innings, struck out 66 and issued 41 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .268 batting average against him.
