Jing Belts Bunch of Base Hits
Friday, September 2nd, 2033
The Pacifica Shamrocks stopped the San Antonio Storm Troopers by a score of 8-6 at The Clone Army today, with the lion's share of the credit going to right fielder Yeow-whye Jing. The 20-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.
"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Jing said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."
Jing did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Storm Troopers.
"Not much that I can say," offered San Antonio manager Thom Long. "He just hammered the heck out of us."
Yeow-whye Jing singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Hang-yu Pak in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
This season Jing is batting at a .455 clip with 7 home runs and 20 RBIs.
