Long Island's Jackson Collects July Batting Honor Monday, August 1st, 2033 Ed Jackson is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Long Island first baseman joined that select company when the Bob Moose League announced the results of July's voting. Jackson totaled 26 hits, 15 walks, 12 home runs, 29 RBIs and 22 runs scored last month to put together a .299 batting average and .408 on-base percentage. This year Jackson is batting .297 with 22 home runs and 64 RBIs. In 63 games he has scored 48 times. |
