Tremlett on Top of His Game Sunday, July 24th, 2033 Lenny Tremlett of the Cincinnati Snaps was on top of his game today. The 26-year-old tantalized the Topeka Predators with crisp curves and changeups, mixed in with just enough fastballs to keep the batters honest and came away with a 1-0 shutout. "He had the changeup working," Topeka manager Dan Jones said in postgame comments. "You knew it was coming and you still grounded out -- and then he threw it even slower." The Cincinnati hurler had 8 strikeouts, gave up 2 walks and surrendered 6 hits in his complete-game effort. Tremlett told reporters after the game that "keeping the ball down is the key to being successful in this league." "If you don't do that, they'll make you pay," he said. Season-to-date, Tremlett has rung up no saves in no relief appearances. He has 59 strikeouts and 53 walks in 85.2 innings while registering a 5.25 ERA and a 3-6 won-lost record.
