Beetlecats Aoki to Miss Year Saturday, July 23rd, 2033 The season is finished for Kyuji Aoki of the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Beetlecats starting pitcher suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Atlantic City Enforcers. Team doctors said it would take at least 14 months to heal. So far this season Aoki has a 2-3 record, 20 starts, 77.2 innings, 72 strikeouts and a 4.52 ERA. |
