Great Week for Sandy Springs's Shoji Hosokawa Monday, July 11th, 2033 22-year-old Shoji Hosokawa made a few Sandy Springs headlines during this past week as the rookie catcher proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Bob Moose League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 28 at-bats to put up a .393 average. Hosokawa collected 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and scored 4 runs. So far this year, Hosokawa is batting .284 with 17 home runs and 50 RBIs. |
