5-for-8 Day for Bell Thursday, June 23rd, 2033 Even as a kid, James Bell said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Parliament Field today, Bell showed how well he learned that lesson. The 21-year-old center fielder had 5 hits in 8 at-bats for the Youngstown Tune-Ups, helping his team knock off the Atlantic City Enforcers by a score of 20-10. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did today." James Bell hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 7th, grounded out in the 9th, flied out in the 10th, hit an RBI single in the 12th, walked in the 15th and singled in the 15th.
