Guglielmo Tomei Sidelined for Season Tuesday, June 14th, 2033 The doctors have spoken and Guglielmo Tomei of the Phoenix Lights didn't like what he heard. The 24-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Tomei sustained his season-ending injury during the Pacifica Shamrocks game yesterday at UFO Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Phoenix medical staff reported Tomei had a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 10-11 months. |
