Hernández and Kobayashi Brawl, League Suspends Them
Tuesday, June 14th, 2033
José Hernández of the DeKalb Cornhuskers was not happy with Junichiro Kobayashi, and his frustration showed when he went after the Fraser Valley player during yesterday's game at The Corn Crib. Both benches cleared as they rushed to the aid of their teammates. Order was soon restored as Hernández and Kobayashi were pulled away from each other. They were ejected from the game.

Both players were suspended 2 games by the league office as a result of their tussle.

"It's something that happens in baseball every once in a while," Hernández commented later. "We get frustrated with another player and sometimes things go too far. We'll both take our suspensions and then come back ready to play. I got no hard feelings."

This year Hernández has socked 39 hits in 144 at-bats for a .271 average with 4 home runs. He is getting on base at a .393 pace and his totals also include 14 RBIs and 18 runs scored.

This year Kobayashi has no saves in 16 relief appearances with a 1-1 record and 6.94 ERA.
