Matsuzaki Hit String Snapped at 20 Tuesday, June 7th, 2033 Toshio Matsuzaki's 20-game hitting streak was snapped today at Outlander Park. The 23-year-old Frisco Rams second baseman failed to get a hit in 3 at-bats in the game against the Boise Hawks, but Frisco came out the winner, 5-1. "I don't think the streak was ever a big deal to Toshio," Rams manager Will Bartlett said after the game. "He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames." For the year Matsuzaki has hit .345 with no home runs, 25 RBIs and scored 25 runs. |
