Everyone, that is, except the Fort Worth Cats. "We knew we would win it," said Fort Worth reliever Don Myers, after his team edged the competition to win the division by one game. "It might have been an extremely close race, but I don't think our players ever lost faith that we would get the job done." The club got the job done on the strength of a 90-72 record, which earned Fort Worth its 3rd division title. The team will be seeking the 2nd Triple A World Series in franchise history. "We're also confident about our chances in the playoffs," Myers added. "Don't count us out." |
