Fireballs Come up Short of Playoffs Tuesday, October 10th, 2034 It's a better-luck-next-year situation for the Joplin Fireballs, as the club today became mathematically eliminated from postseason consideration. Team manager Chance Jackson said "it's always a letdown" to miss the playoffs, but added that he was proud of his club's effort. This is the club's 5th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2029. In the last 10 seasons, the Fireballs have missed the playoffs 9 times. In total, the Fireballs have missed the playoffs 20 times in their 22-year history. |
