Saturday, September 30th, 2034
After an intense confrontation, both the Death Stars Baber Khan and the Bumblebees Yeijiro Suzuki were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Detroit-Pasadena game. Both players will miss 5 games as a result of their actions.
"Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Baber Khan commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play."
This year Khan has collected a .324 batting average to date with 48 hits in 148 at-bats, 28 RBIs, 7 home runs and scored 28 times. He has played in 41 games.
To date this season, Suzuki has registered 29 starts, 10-6 won-lost mark, 3.28 ERA, 162 IP, 127 strikeouts and 45 walks. Opposing teams have hit .234 against him.
