Super Swinger -- Mayes Slams 5 Hits Thursday, September 28th, 2034 5 times is the charm -- at least for Oscar Mayes. The Billings Mustangs catcher tore up the Astoria Argonauts to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Cobb Field today. The offensive onslaught from Mayes powered the Mustangs to a 15-3 win. "Mayes was a tough out today," Astoria manager Bernard Jacq said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Oscar Mayes singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, walked in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Alonso Palma in the 8th.
