Big Bat Pays Off, Tsuruta Player of the Week Monday, September 25th, 2034 So far in his young career, Takashi Tsuruta has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Darryl Kile League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 24-year-old Joplin Fireballs left fielder hit at a torrid .435 clip as he collected 10 hits in 23 at-bats, 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and 5 runs scored. This year Tsuruta is batting .272 with 17 home runs and 75 RBIs. |
