DKL Names Best Player Monday, September 11th, 2034 At the age of 31, Monte Irvin might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Astoria center fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .714 batting average. For his efforts Irvin collected the Darryl Kile League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 15 hits in 21 at-bats, 1 home run and 5 RBIs last week in 6 games. Currently Irvin is batting .328 with 149 hits and 20 home runs. He has knocked in 77 runs and scored 103 times. |
