Racers Carrasco to Miss Year
Friday, August 18th, 2034
The doctors have spoken and Daniel Carrasco of the Bowling Green Racers didn't like what he heard. The 33-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Carrasco sustained his season-ending injury during the Reno Rockets game yesterday at Red Rocket Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Bowling Green medical staff reported Carrasco had bone chips in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 8 months.
In 29 relief appearances this season, Carrasco has 3 saves. He has 4 wins and 4 losses, 4.85 ERA and 42 strikeouts in 55.2 innings.
