Season May Be Over for Phantoms Uchida
Tuesday, August 15th, 2034
The doctors have spoken and Kawanari Uchida of the Coronado Phantoms didn't like what he heard. The 28-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Uchida sustained his season-ending injury during the Vancouver Canadians game yesterday at Stanley Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Coronado medical staff reported Uchida had bone chips in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 5-6 months.

Uchida's record this year is 4-and-2 with 3 saves and a 2.11 ERA. He has given up 20 hits in 21.1 innings with 19 strikeouts.
