Year Ends for Luciano Carreiras in Indian Wells Tuesday, August 8th, 2034 The doctors have spoken and Luciano Carreiras of the Indian Wells Aeropostales didn't like what he heard. The 30-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Carreiras sustained his season-ending injury during the Espanola Bomberos game yesterday at Casa de Fuego. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Indian Wells medical staff reported Carreiras had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months. |
