Player of the Week: Billings's Bettcher Monday, July 24th, 2034 So far in his young career, Jeff Bettcher has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Darryl Kile League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 22-year-old Billings Mustangs right fielder hit at a torrid .500 clip as he collected 7 hits in 14 at-bats, 1 home run, 6 RBIs and 5 runs scored. This year Bettcher has collected a .394 batting average to date with 84 hits in 213 at-bats, 53 RBIs, 11 home runs and scored 61 times. He has played in 62 games. |
