Racers Harlan Rudy Down and Out for Year Sunday, July 16th, 2034 The doctors have spoken and Harlan Rudy of the Bowling Green Racers didn't like what he heard. The 24-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Rudy sustained his season-ending injury during the Espanola Bomberos game yesterday at Top of the Hill. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Bowling Green medical staff reported Rudy had a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12 months. To date this year, Rudy shows a 0-1 record, 11 starts, 34.1 innings, 31 strikeouts and a 4.46 ERA. |
