Skipper Shigetaka Ohayashi Dismissed in Calgary Wednesday, July 12th, 2034 It was supposed to be just another day at the ballpark, but it didn't turn out that way for Shigetaka Ohayashi. Ohayashi found out he was being let go in a meeting with the Calgary owner and general manager. After the meeting concluded, team officials formally announced the firing. They declined to comment on who his successor might be, saying only that it would be done quickly. "Shigetaka Ohayashi is a good baseball man and classy individual, but we don't think he's the best person to lead this ballclub at this time," said Kodiaks general manager Joe Unknown. "We wish him all the best in the future." Ohayashi, whose in-game decisions have drawn a lot of criticism from local media of late, left the ballpark immediately after the meeting and could not be reached for comment. |
