Bronx's Hernández to Miss Season Wednesday, July 5th, 2034 Ricardo Hernández of the Bombers just might have to call it quits for the season. The 23-year-old Bronx starting pitcher received a possible season-ending injury against the Fairfield Flash recently at Bronx Ballpark. Hernández suffered a damaged elbow ligament while throwing a pitch. The Bombers medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 14 months. This year Hernández has worked 73.1 innings with 72 strikeouts en route to a 5-7 record and a 6.26 ERA. |
