DKL Star of the Week Picked Monday, June 19th, 2034 27-year-old Robby Lucero made a few Astoria headlines during this past week as the rookie third baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Darryl Kile League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 10 hits in 28 at-bats to put up a .357 average. Lucero collected 4 home runs, 11 RBIs and scored 5 runs. To date, Lucero has collected 82 hits for a .333 average. He has posted 19 home runs, scored 44 runs and driven in 54 runs. |
