Kodiaks Santos Sizzles with Cycle Thursday, June 15th, 2034 It was a day of mixed emotions for Javier Santos. The Calgary Kodiaks left fielder had little to celebrate, as one of the best games of his career was marred by a tough 18-7 loss to the Antioch Coal Miners today. Santos hit for the cycle in defeat, collecting 4 hits in 4 at-bats, including 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run. The performance, however, was not enough to will the Kodiaks past a red-hot Coal Miners club. "Normally when you have a big game, it makes you feel great afterward," Santos said in a quiet clubhouse following the game. "But the loss takes a lot of that away. You just want to forget today and start over." For the day, Santos finished with 3 runs batted in and 2 runs scored to go with his 4 hits. Javier Santos hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Matsuyo Koda in the 4th, tripled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
