Just ask Al Hrabosky Jr., who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Joplin Fireballs closer, 23, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .169 average and walked away with the Darryl Kile League Pitcher of the Month award for May. Hrabosky Jr. posted a 2-0 mark and a 1.42 ERA in 16 relief appearances. In 19 innings, he had 11 saves, 27 strikeouts, and 9 walks. This year Hrabosky Jr. has delivered 20 saves.
