McDaniel Guns Down Indian Wells Saturday, May 6th, 2034 Cliff McDaniel subdued the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 1-0, pitching a 4-hit gem for the Joplin Fireballs at The Firepit. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Joplin skipper Chance Jackson said afterward. McDaniel registered 10 strikeouts and issued 2 walks in his superb performance. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Indian Wells manager Mario Perez after the defeat.
