3 Home Runs for Butler Sunday, April 23rd, 2034 Jeff Butler went yard three times in a Billings Mustangs victory over the Pasadena Bumblebees at The Hole today. "I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit." For the day, the Billings catcher went 3-for-4 against Pasadena with 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Mustangs to the 11-3 win. "I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out." Jeff Butler flied out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Nick Copeland in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Nick Copeland in the 4th, walked in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Alberto Fernández in the 8th. This season Butler has hit at a .294 clip with 14 RBIs, 5 home runs and 9 runs scored. |
