Conboy Voted DKL Cy Young Award Saturday, November 12th, 2033 In 2033 when Joplin reliever Dave Conboy strolled in from the bullpen, it spelled "Relief with a capital R." He usually put a quick end to any budding rally. For his sensational mound work he was voted the Darryl Kile League Cy Young Award winner. The Fireballs bullpen specialist converted no saves this year with a 14-2 record and 3.06 ERA. He appeared in 31 games and struck out 125 in 173.2 innings. Matsuyo Koda of the Antioch Coal Miners finished second in voting, while Harold Hayne of the Omaha Raptors finished third. |
