Baristas Lose Gurston for Season
Sunday, October 9th, 2033
The doctors have spoken and Ethan Gurston of the Silver Lake Baristas didn't like what he heard. The 26-year-old first baseman is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Gurston sustained his season-ending injury during the Scranton Escape game yesterday at Ashton Gate. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Silver Lake medical staff reported Gurston had a broken bone in the elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 5 months.
This year Gurston is batting .190 with 22 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 15 times and has batted in 16 runs.
