20-Game Hitting Streak for Coyle Wednesday, September 21st, 2033 Turner Coyle, right fielder for the Astoria Argonauts, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 1 hit in his club's 9-8 victory today over the Silver Lake Baristas at Ashton Gate today. "Not the outcome we wanted," Silver Lake manager José Alonzo said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Turner Coyle walked in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and flied out in the 9th. Coyle is swinging at a .311 pace on the year with 12 home runs, 59 RBIs and 85 runs scored. He has played in 112 games. |
