Fujita Bangs Out 5 Base Hits
Thursday, September 1st, 2033
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Hideaki Fujita is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Acapulco Banditos at Top of the Hill today. The monster effort from the 26-year-old center fielder helped the Bowling Green Racers take the win, 5-4.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Banditos manager Salvador López. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Hideaki Fujita singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Lonnie Young in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.
On the year Fujita is hitting .293 with 87 hits, 11 home runs, 48 RBIs, .353 OBP and has scored 39 runs.
