Canton Loses Luján for Year Thursday, August 25th, 2033 The doctors have spoken and Fernando Luján of the Canton Paczkis didn't like what he heard. The 25-year-old shortstop is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Luján sustained his season-ending injury during the Vancouver Canadians game yesterday at Mckinley Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Canton medical staff reported Luján had a broken bone in the elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 8-9 months. Luján is currently hitting at a .269 pace with 10 home runs, 78 RBIs and has scored 60 times. |
