Nick Adenhart League Announces #1 Player Monday, August 8th, 2033 24-year-old Jesús Ortíz made a few Canton headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Nick Adenhart League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 24 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Ortíz collected 3 home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 4 runs. So far this season, Ortíz has recorded a .246 batting average with 92 hits, 11 home runs, 54 RBIs, 51 runs scored and a .287 OBP. |
