Fleury's Season Could be Over
Sunday, July 17th, 2033
Bob Fleury of the Phantoms just might have to call it quits for the season. The 23-year-old Coronado starting pitcher received a possible season-ending injury against the Albuquerque Cacti recently at Phantoms Field. Fleury suffered a bone spur in his elbow while throwing a pitch. The Phantoms medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 4-5 months.
Thus far this season, Fleury has worked 20.1 innings with 21 strikeouts en route to a 1-1 record and a 6.20 ERA.
