Ayliffe Rips Calgary for 5 Hits Wednesday, July 6th, 2033 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Virgil Ayliffe of the Chicago Titans. Ayliffe went on a tear at Foothills Stadium and cracked hit after hit off Calgary pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 24-year-old catcher had a career 5-for-5 day and something he will long remember. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell them we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview. Despite Ayliffe's personal accolades, the Calgary Kodiaks walked off the field with the 6-2 win. Virgil Ayliffe singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
