League Suspends Ec 2 Games Sunday, July 3rd, 2033 Shortly after yesterday's Banditos-Raiders game ended, Hong-bo Ec's on-field tantrum seemed almost comical. In response to being ejected for questioning a called third strike, the Acapulco catcher tossed his hat to the dirt and kicked it repeatedly. He couldn't help but laugh at himself and his over-the-top, hat-kicking, anger-laced tirade. "It was funny," Ec said. "I was hoping I could kick it all the way to the dugout." The umpiring crew, however, didn't find it funny and neither did the league. Though Ec said he did not think his actions warranted a suspension, he will miss 2 games. This season Ec has delivered 11 hits in 45 at-bats for a .244 average with 2 home runs. He is getting on base at a .370 clip and his totals also include 6 RBIs and 6 runs scored. This year Ec has played in 16 games. |
