25-Game Hitting Streak for Bettcher Thursday, June 9th, 2033 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Jeff Bettcher did it again, bashing 1 hit in the contest at Cobb Field today. For the last 25 games in a row, the 21-year-old right fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Billings Mustangs beat the Calgary Kodiaks 5-1 today. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Bettcher told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Billings clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Jeff Bettcher walked in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and singled in the 7th. Thus far in 2033 Bettcher is hitting .358 with 3 home runs, 26 RBIs, 40 runs scored and has compiled a .446 OBP. |
