Tamura Hurls Minneapolis to Shutout Win

Yaichiro Tamura held the Fairfield Flash to 2 hits and fashioned a fine 1-0 shutout at The Ice Box today.
Speaking after the game, Minneapolis Freeze manager John Justin said "Tamura had everything going for him today."
He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement," he said. "He was masterful."
Tamura rung up 9 strikeouts and surrendered 2 walks in the game.
"We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," Fairfield manager Gary Altman told reporters.
To date this season Tamura is 4-3 with 8 starts and an ERA of 4.11 with 34 strikeouts in 46 innings.
