Raiders, Steveson Blank Death Stars
Tuesday, May 24th, 2033
Reno Raiders hurler Mike Steveson was stingy with runs in his latest outing against the Detroit Death Stars, shutting them out 7-0 on 2 hits.
"Mike was very aggressive tonight," Reno manager Chris Brading said. "He threw everything he had with a lot of confidence."
Through 9 innings, Steveson tallied 9 strikeouts and allowed 2 walks.
"He was throwing strikes with all his pitches and mixing it up well," losing manager David Parker said. "Steveson has a sneaky fastball, and whatever that off-speed pitch was, it was keeping our timing off."
So far this season, Steveson has logged a 4-2 record with a 2.78 ERA. He has started 8 games, hurled 55 innings and registered 51 strikeouts and 14 walks.
