Armando Espinoza, the Calgary Kodiaks 21-year-old shortstop, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for Darryl Kile League Player of the Week honors. He ripped 13 hits in 29 at-bats, compiling a .448 average with 2 home runs and 11 RBIs. For the season Espinoza is currently batting .335 with 5 home runs and 27 RBIs. In 40 games he has reached base at a .379 rate and scored 27 runs to date. |
