Escape End Borlase's Streak Wednesday, May 4th, 2033 The Astoria Argonauts lost to the Scranton Escape 4-3 today at Hell Stadium, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Conor Borlase's 23-game hitting streak. The right fielder went 0-for-4 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Borlase, we would win the game," Escape manager Julián Cancil explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." This season in 27 games, Borlase has hit at a .343 clip with 35 hits, 4 home runs, 15 RBIs and 17 runs scored. |
