Gustavo Ortega Injured, Out for Season Friday, April 22nd, 2033 Bronx reliever Gustavo Ortega suffered a season-ending injury throwing a pitch in today's game against the Freeze. According to club doctors Ortega has a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. Although Ortega has declined to comment, sources close to the player have stated that he is "devastated" that he will miss the playoffs. This year Ortega has made 7 relief appearances with no saves. In 6 innings, he has permitted 5 hits, fanned 8 hitters and recorded no wins and no losses with a 7.50 ERA. |
