Ramsey Nabs RCL Most Valuable Player Award
Friday, November 24th, 2034
At the age of 26, Drake Ramsey of the So Cal Republic could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2034 was good enough to win the catcher the Roberto Clemente League Most Valuable Player Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .312 batting average this year, as well as a .420 on-base percentage. He played 137 games and racked up 163 hits, 23 doubles, 2 triples, 31 home runs, 101 RBIs and 94 runs scored.
An-yi Bian of the San Diego Hops finished second in voting, while Ralph Blair of the Portland Beavers finished third.
